Department of Public Works
The Department’s responsibilities include maintenance of Carlisle’s public ways including resurfacing, plowing, annual street sweeping, and pruning of roadside brush; plus care of the cemetery public grounds and the Transfer Station.

Emergency Notifications
Carlisle has contracted with Blackboard Connect to provide residents with local emergency notifications. Residents are informed by telephone, email, and/or text when there is an emergency or other important public safety or public health event.

Fire Department
The members of the Carlisle Fire Department are focused on maintaining the essential values of “caring professionals,” whose goal each day is to help out citizens with our skills, caring, and compassion in times of need and disaster.

Police Department
The mission of the Carlisle Police Department is to work with the community to eliminate crime, and improve the quality of life in the Town of Carlisle.

Public Safety Communications System
The working group advising the Town Administrator on the implementation of the new Public Safety Communications System authorized by 2017 TM consists of Police Chief Fisher, David Freedman, Bill Risso, Fire Chief Sorrows, and Fire Dept Captain Matt Svatek. Former members included Chief Flannery, Deputy Chief White, and Planning Board member Peter Yelle.
