The Recreation Commission develops and delivers a selection of fee-based arts & crafts, life skills and fitness programs to residents of all age groups. Currently the Recreation Commission schedules and maintains baseball and softball fields and multi-purpose fields for soccer and other sports. In addition, the Commission maintains an asphalt running track, tennis courts, tot lot playgrounds, a beach volleyball court and a fitness cluster. The Commission also uses Town Hall and school facilities as well as some outside vendor locations. Other sports programs include skiing, basketball, and badminton. Many teenagers and adults perform community service as chaperones, coaches and referees.

Disability Nondiscrimination Policy: The Town shall make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, or procedures when the modifications are necessary to avoid discrimination on the basis of disability, unless The Town can demonstrate that making the modifications would fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity.

The Recreation Department has moved to the Brick Building, 97 School Street
