Assessors
The Board of Assessors is responsible for the full and fair market valuation of real and personal property for the purposes of levying the property tax as of January 1st every year. It is the responsibility of the assessor’s office to maintain valuations at full and fair cash value and to meet the Commissioner of Revenue’s re-certification requirements of property valuation every five years. The assessor’s office collects and maintains a database of each parcel of property in town.

Single-Family Cyclical Inspection Update
The Massachusetts Department of Revenue requires us to visit every property once every ten years. The compliance rate below refers to the percentage of properties that have been inspected within the required 10-year interval, based on the date of their last inspection.
The Assessing Department is pleased to announce that, as of FY26, 98% of single-family homes have been inspected within the last ten years.
