On July 24, 2024, the Carlisle Select Board proclaimed their opposition to the Private Jet Expansion efforts at Hanscom Airfield. After presentations from the Carlisle Environmental Sustainability Committee and the League of Women Voters, the Select Board joined neighboring Towns and organizations that oppose the expansion and drafted their own resolution opposing the L.G. Hanscom Field North Airfield Development and requests the Governor of Massachusetts take all possible actions to prevent the project (see: Resolution).
