Board of Selectmen

Posted on: April 3, 2020

[ARCHIVED] Town Hall closed until May 4, 2020

The Board of Selectmen wishes to assure the public that it is endeavoring to keep  the town’s residents and employees safe during this period of health emergency.

To that end we have, in consultation with the Board of Health and Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC), closed the Town Hall to the public.  This, however, does not mean that no Town business is being conducted.

Town committee meetings that are essential are still being held via online meeting spaces. The links to the online meeting spaces are provided in the posted agendas that may be found under the AGENDAS & MINUTES CENTER on the Carlisle website.

All town employees that are able are working remotely from home.  When certain functions require an employee to be physically present at Town Hall, this is being coordinated so there is no spread from person to person.  In addition, files and documents will be restricted so that only one person will be handling them.

In addition, the Board is working in conjunction with other Town Boards and Committees to coordinate the response to the Covid-19 emergency and is ensuring that accurate and timely information is posted on the  website.

Other initiatives that the Board of Selectmen, in conjunction with the LEPC, has undertaken are:

  • Virtual Townhall Forum meetings scheduled with the Board of Selectmen, Board of Health and School Committee on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm.  The link to the meetings is:;

Compiling a list of e-mail addresses for residents wishing to get e-mail alerts in their mailboxes.  You can sign-up by clicking on the NotifyMe text on the Emergency Alert page of the town website;

The School Committee is now meeting weekly at 8:30 am on Fridays at 321756655

Once again, please know that while the town offices are closed, everyone is working very hard to keep the community up to date and to conduct as much of normal business as possible. As the information is updated and as things develop, the town government and the LEPC will  keep you up to date.
