The Carlisle Environmental Sustainability Committee invites you to join Maddie Kiszewski from Backyard Invasives for an informative walk about native and invasive plants on May 18 at 5:30pm. The walk will begin at Center Park (you can park there) with Maddie discussing ways we can include native, non-cultivar plants in our gardens, along with an explanation of why this is so important. The group will then enter the Conant Land behind the Police Station to identify invasive species growing on the forest edges and will explore a healthy understory with numerous native plants. Wearing long pants/sleeves and bringing water is recommended. Rain date will be either May 19 or May 25, weather dependent.
