  1. Carlisle Master Gardeners Offer FREE Garden Classes @ Center Park

    April 25, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Carlisle Center Park

Join master gardeners at Center Park every fourth Thursday during the active growing season from April to October in a “hands-on” and “how-to class” where creating and maintaining sun and shade gardens and landscapes will be discussed and demonstrated in a real garden setting rather than a classroom. Topics will follow the natural cycle of the season and include designing garden beds, starting seeds, dividing perennials, taking cuttings, making and using compost, watering, weeding, pruning, trimming, edging, and nurturing soil and plants. Please dress for the weather, and bring garden gloves, your favorite bug repellent, hydration for yourself, and clippers if you have them. This wonderful opportunity is limited to 10 seniors; Carlisle seniors have first preference. Out of town seniors will be placed on a wait list. Please call the COA at (978) 371-2895 to RSVP.
